Adele’s ex trainer reveals her competitive side is ‘secret’ to her incredible seven stone weight loss

Adele’s former trainer has shared the secrets behind her incredible weight loss after she wowed fans with her new figure.

The singer stunned fans earlier this month as she shared a photo of her slim physique while celebrating her 32nd birthday.

Her former trainer, Pete Geracimo, has now explained her incredible seven stone weight loss, revealing how Adele kept on track with her training.

London-based trainer Pete, who was Adele’s trainer from 2012 to 2016, said he is “proud” to see who far the Hello singer has come in such a short space of time.

He told Us Weekly: “When we had low days, I would alter the workout so that it would ease her into training, get her mind off of what was bugging her and then, before you knew it, we were having a good session and working hard.”

He also said he never felt uncomfortable around Adele – despite her fame.

He said: “The funny thing is, I never treated her any differently than I would any of my other clients.

He added: “I don’t get starstruck and just trained her as if she was not famous. I loved her sense of humour and we’d laugh a lot of the time.”

Peter explained that Adele would train for one hour at a time, two or three times per week.

According to reports, Adele feels as if her weight loss has “put her in a good place mentally and physically”.

A friend of the superstar singer said: "In the past, the stress from balancing work and being a mom was intense.

"She wanted to find a way to balance things better. She is now in a very good place both physically and mentally," the source continued to tell People.

While the extent of Adele's diet remains a mystery, it is believed she dropped to just 1,000 calories per day, quit smoking, reduced her alcohol intake and turned to reformer pilates.

It is also reported she trained with Harley Pasternak, who has previously trained the likes of Megan Fox, Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga.
