Alex Scott is dating chart-topping British female pop star’, reports claim

BBC presenter and former Arsenal footballer Alex Scott is dating chart-topping pop star Jess Glynne, according to reports.

The pair have apparently been quietly seeing each other for the past couple of months, enjoying a series of dates before and after the Women’s World Cup.

A source told the Sun: “Alex and Jess have been a slow burn and they didn’t want to rush things or go public too soon.

“But they’re officially an item now and seem really happy. They are both strong, independent women with a shared passion and respect of their respective careers, supporting one another from the sidelines.

“It’s still early days for them, but they’ve met one another’s mates and everyone is super-happy for them.”

The talented pair reportedly partied alongside David and Victoria Beckham at their Netflix documentary premiere after-party at The Twenty Two in West London on Tuesday evening.

The 38-year-old sports star and 33-year-old pop singer were also spotted sitting together back in July at Wimbledon Tennis and in August at a pub lunch in North West London.

Despite rarely talking about her romantic life, Alex previously opened up about the heartwrenching split from her first love, former team-mate Kelly Smith, in her memoir How (Not) To Be Strong.

Meanwhile Jess, who is he only British female solo artist to achieve seven No1 singles in the UK, spoke about “not putting a label” on her sexuality in 2015 after confirming her album I Cry When I Laugh was inspired by her romance with the “one girl she’d ever been with”.

“People should never feel uncomfortable about who they love,” she said at the time.

Jess’ first chart-topper came in 2014 alongside Clean Bandit with the pop hit Rather Be.

She followed it up with another collaboration that year featuring Route 94 called My Love and in 2015 with Not Letting Go featuring Tinie Tempah.

She also had two No1 singles from her 2015 album I Cry When I Laugh: Hold My Hand and Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself.

She then secured her last two chart-topping hits in 2018: I’ll Be There and These Days featuring Rudimental.
