Ant McPartlin’s ex Lisa Armstrong breaks silence after £5m mansion goes up in flames
Lisa Armstrong has taken to social media to break her silence after it emerged that her £5 million Chiswick mansion went up in flames on Monday morning.
The Strictly Come Dancing make-up artist, 46, shared a cryptic quote on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday following the blaze in London, which saw numerous firefighters rush to the property.
Lisa, who previously lived in the home with ex-husband Ant McPartlin and has reportedly been renting it out, shared a snap of a quote which read: "Once the heart gets too heavy with pain, people don't cry. They just turn silent. Completely silent."
Lisa lived in the West London mansion with ex Ant, 47, until their split in 2018. She was awarded the home in her divorce with Ant but is believed to have been recently renting it out.
According to The Sun, London Fire Brigade said: "Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters responded to a fire on Grove Park Gardens in Chiswick.
"Crews responded to fire in a house, and one of the Brigade's 32m ladders was deployed at the incident. The roof and third floor of the property were severely damaged by fire. During firefighting operations, the ground and lower ground floors suffered some water damage.
"The Brigade was first called about the fire at 0946 and the incident was under control by 1152. Crews from Chiswick, Hammersmith, Richmond and surrounding fire stations are at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation."
The devastating blaze comes just weeks after it was revealed that Lisa had split from boyfriend James Green, who she had been dating since lockdown.
The couple, who had been living together, are believed to have ended their romance just weeks after they celebrated James' 40th birthday together and Lisa penned a gushing tribute to her beau on Instagram.
It it said the break-up come out of the blue and rocked the beautician, just weeks before the new series of Strictly. Sources close to the 46 year old have said James is already moving his things out of her £4.5million mansion.
A source told the Daily Mail: "I don't really know what has gone wrong. The two of them were only on a swanky holiday together in the Caribbean or somewhere about eight weeks ago.
"He was with her one day, and he just wasn't with her the next day. There was no inkling that anything was wrong."
