Boy George’s candid admission comes days after he addressed his apology to Victoria Beckham over a recent plane debacle. The Karma Chameleon singer dished all on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

During Wednesday’s episode, the campmates were reminicising on times they’ve been late for work as the hitmaker recalled passengers on board “sneering” at him for holding the flight.

His jungle co-star Seann Walsh explained he turned up at a comedy venue for a stand up show but was late.

He commented: “I literally got out the cab, shut the door, looked at the venue…

“I’m not running late, but running close to the time, shut the door, I looked around, the venue was shut… I went to Hereford instead of Hertford.”

Boy George, 61, insisted: “I’d never be late, I’m there hours before. I got there five hours before a show. Never.”

England champion Jill Scott chimed in: “I’ve never turned up to the wrong stadium for a game.”

Boy George went on: “I did a show with Adam Ant in America a couple of years ago. He turned up a minute before he went on stage. Suddenly this car pulls up, he gets out, walks on. He must have planned it, it was so brilliant. Everyone was freaking out.”

The singer continued: “I used to hold flights in the 80s. People would sneer, you’d get on… they’d call you in the car, ‘How far away are you?’

“I remember this one time we were going to America, myself and John Cleese were both heading towards the airport, there were traffic jams, it was raining, when you get on that flight and people are like…”

Confirming to Jill he meant the plane waited for him, Boy George continued: “Just one of those things in the 80s. They want you on the flight.”

His comments come just days after he addressed his Twitter spat about Victoria Beckham but later issued an apology to the fashion designer.

Back in June, George took to Twitter to vent his frustration at the former pop star now fashion designer.

He claimed British Airways had left passengers waiting in first class while Victoria’s car came to pick her up directly from the aircraft.

In a now-deleted tweet, Boy George vented: “Nice touch for @britishairways to leave everyone in first class waiting for steps while Victoria Beckham’s car picks her up at the aircraft. Proper going to avoid flying BA for a while!”

Speaking about his rant on I’m A Celebrity, the singer admitted he regretted the tweet and sent a private apology to the star.

He told his campmates: “I do that a lot when I tweet something and then I think why did I tweet that?” He added that he had passed on an apology message to Victoria.

He said: “Tell her I’m sorry, I didn’t know she had paid extra for concierge service! That had nothing to do with me.”

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight on ITV One at 9pm.
