Around two decades ago, Britney had a plethora of Grammy Awards, world tours earning her tens of millions of dollars and four platinum No.1 albums.
It was Forbes who actually named her the world’s most powerful celebrity in 2002 with around £32.7million ($40 million) of income prior to taxes and other fees.
And while £49milion ($60 million) may seem like a lot of money, it is actually reasonably low in comparison to other stars of Britney’s status.
Alongside her net worth, the publication also pointed out singers Jennifer Lopez and Jessica Simpson, are both worth more than £81.8million ($100 million).

It is noted how Britney doesn’t work as much as she used to with Forbes stating how she “stopped doing television commercials in 2015.”
She hadn’t released new music since 2016 and stopped touring two years after.
Britney did go on to release two songs after the end of her conservatorship in the form of Mind Your Business with Will.i.am and Hold Me Closer with Elton John.
Another big factor in her lower net worth is to do with the conservatorship itself with her finances controlled by her dad James after her mental breakdown in 2008.
