Bruce Springsteen Postpones Remaining 2023 Tour Dates Amid Recovery From Peptic Ulcer Disease
Bruce Springsteen has announced that out of an abundance of caution, all of his remaining 2023 tour dates with The E Street Band will be postponed until 2024 amid his recovery from peptic ulcer disease.
The rock legend has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice.
Rescheduled dates for each of the 2023 shows, including those postponed earlier this month, will be announced next week, all taking place at their originally scheduled venues.
When the new 2024 dates are announced, those unable to attend the shows who purchased their tickets through official ticketing companies have 30 days to request a refund. All tickets for postponed performances will remain valid for the newly announced dates.
“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year,” said Springsteen.
The tour by Springsteen and his backing band, which began on February 1, has been interrupted many times since then.
The shows on August 16 and 18 in Philadelphia and August 28 in Washington, D.C., were postponed due to Springsteen having Covid.
Springsteen announced the postponement of eight shows scheduled between September 7 and 29 because he was undergoing treatment for symptoms of peptic ulcer disease and that doctors recommended he not perform live.
