Country superstar Carrie Underwood won the coveted Video Of The Year award for the eighth time at this year’s CMT Music Awards with “Drinking Alone.”

Underwood beat fellow finalists Keith Urban, who has won the award three times, Kelsea Ballerini‘s “homecoming queen?” Luke Combs‘ “Beer Never Broke My Heart,” Miranda Lambert‘s “Bluebird” and Tanya Tucker‘s “Bring My Flowers Now”.
“Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. Wow, fans. You guys never cease to amaze me at how hard you work. I’ve seen you guys throwing Twitter parties and doing your thing and voting,” Underwood said after winning the award.
She added, “This one is really all about you guys. Especially because, again, we haven’t been together, but I just feel so loved.”
Meanwhile, Luke Bryan won Male Video Of The Year award for “One Margarita.” This is his third win after previously winning the award for “I Don’t Want This Night to End” (2012) and “Play It Again” (2015).
Dan + Shay won Duo Video Of The Year for the third consecutive year for “I Should Probably Go to Bed.” They previously won for “Tequila” (2018) and “Speechless” (2019).
