Charlotte Crosby on 'crazy' relationship with jailed ex Stephen Bear

‘It wasn’t a great time, there was a lot of heartbreak’: Charlotte Crosby speaks out on ‘crazy’ relationship with ex Stephen Bear after he was jailed for 21 months for sharing Georgia Harrison sex tape on OnlyFans

Charlotte Crosby has spoken out about her relationship with ex Stephen Bear, describing it as a ‘crazy eight months’ which brought about a ‘lot of heartbreak’.

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Stephen, 33, was jailed for 21 months last week for voyeurism and two counts of ‘revenge porn’ after he shared a private video of him having sex with his ex, former Love Island star Georgia Harrison, 28, via WhatsApp and OnlyFans without consent.

He was convicted following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court with television personality Georgia waiving her right to anonymity afforded to her under the Sexual Offences Act, saying she felt compelled to as so many people knew of the video.

And Geordie Shore star Charlotte, 32, has looked back at her turbulent romance with Stephen after their union came to a dramatic end in October 2017 following a slew of ‘cheating’ claims – which resulted in Charlotte publicly feuding with Bear’s family on Twitter.

She told new! magazine: ‘There was a bit of a divide in that relationship, so that was one of the reasons you could tell it wasn’t the right one.

‘I don’t look back with much negativity. It was a crazy eight months – my God, it was a roller-coaster.

‘It wasn’t a great time. There was a lot of heartbreak, but it taught me a lot.

‘I don’t dwell on the past – everything that’s happened has put me on the right path to who I am now and how I’m living right now and finding the right person for me.’

Charlotte and Stephen started dating in December 2016 after they met on the set of their MTV show Just Tattoo Of Us.

They were said to have gone their separate ways, with Stephen describing Charlotte as the ‘right girl, wrong time’, when he started filming Celebs Go Dating in January 2017.

However, Stephen was later kicked off of the show when dating experts Nadia Essex and Eden Blackman learned he was dating Charlotte.

After just three months, the pair were talking of getting engaged and having a baby together before allegations of Stephen cheating on Charlotte emerged.

They finally went their separate ways in October 2017 and Charlotte is now happily coupled-up with boyfriend Jake Ankers, with the couple recently welcoming their first baby.

Disgraced Celebrity Big Brother contestant Stephen was jailed for 21 months last week after he shared a sex tape of Georgia Harrison on adult website OnlyFans and made £2,000 from it.

It had been captured on CCTV cameras in his garden on August 2, 2020, before being uploaded to the video subscription site and WhatsApp.

Georgia, who has appeared on Love Island and The Only Way Is Essex, was devastated by the tape and a judge said she suffered ‘extensive humiliation and embarrassment’ at the hands of her perverted former lover.

Judge Christopher Morgan jailed Stephen for 21 months and gave him a restraining order not to contact Georgia.

As Stephen was led to the cells, the remorseless influencer was heard saying: ‘Have a good evening, enjoy your weekends everyone.’

The reality star was also ordered to sign the sex offenders’ register and will be subject to notification requirements for 10 years.

After the sentencing, Georgia told journalists she was ‘relieved’ it was now over.

‘Today’s sentence is a vindication of what I’ve been put through and sends a clear message that the police and the courts take this matter very seriously,’ she added.

Support: Stephen’s victim Georgia Harrison (right) is embraced after seeing her ex-boyfriend jailed for posting a secret sex tape of them together on OnlyFans

‘I want to let all other victims of this crime know that I stand in solidarity with them and I have absolutely no regrets in waiving my anonymity.

‘I hope that this puts anyone off committing this sort of crime and I hope for anyone else who’s been a victim of it gives them some sort of justice.’

Last December, Stephen was found guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court of voyeurism and of two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress.

Despite facing the possibility of a prison sentence, he appeared relaxed when he arrived at the court last week with his current lover, Jessica Smith – who confirmed she would not be dumping the convicted sex offender.

In a black coat and dark sunglasses, Stephen waved and sang to journalists before posing for selfies with a fan. He moaned about being convicted, saying his trial was ‘not fair’.

The court had heard how Georgia and Stephen had consensual sex at his home in Loughton, Essex, but Georgia had no idea they were being recorded.

Jailed: Stephen Bear was quizzed by the press as he arrived at Chelmsford Crown Court for his sentencing hearing on Friday

Georgia said when Stephen showed her the footage, she told him ‘never to send’ it to anyone and ‘made it plain how upset she would be if he did’, Jacqueline Carey KC, prosecuting, had said.

The complainant said she saw Stephen send the footage to someone on WhatsApp later that day, and later that year she was made aware that it was circulating online.

Ms Carey said Stephen uploaded the sex tape ‘either himself or had it uploaded to OnlyFans and profited financially’.

Stephen, who has appeared on MTV’s Ex On The Beach, denied all charges and claimed at trial he deleted the footage and had shared it with no one other than Georgia.
