Colin Firth, 60, was photographed with BBC News presenter Joanna Gosling, 49, earlier this week, and obtained by various outlets. The pair were seen enjoying a walk in a West London park, in scenes which could be straight of a movie.

In much-loved film Bridget Jones’ Diary, Colin’s character Mark Darcy falls in love with news reporter Bridget Jones, played by Renée Zellweger.

Mum-of-three Joanna is best known for presenting rolling updates on BBC News.

The casually-dressed pair were snapped in outdoor clothing and wellington boots as they strolled through the park in the capital city.

The pair seemed very at ease with each other on their winter walk, happily chatting away to each other in the sunshine, almost a year after Colin split from his wife.

Colin, who also has three children, separated from Livia Giuggioli after 22 years of marriage last year.

Their publicist confirmed the news of their separation in a joint statement last December.

It read: “Colin and Livia Firth have separated. They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children.

They kindly ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

The pair, who tied the knot in 1997, have two sons together.

Colin also has a son from his first marriage to Meg Tilly.
