Admitting her daughter’s bravery in the Bushtucker Trials had ‘inspired’ her to conquer her own fears, Lisa mused: ‘I don’t know how she does it, I’m not a good at heights and she’s inspired me to jump on a plane and get out here…
‘She just keeps being herself, she’s very caring. She’s already a winner in my eyes anyway, I’m really proud.
‘I knew she would give it a good go but I am a bit surprised at how much she has thrown herself into it. She was anxious going in.
I am not worried now though because I can see she looks happy and she is enjoying herself.
‘It is a bit weird watching her as herself on TV, it is almost like we are sharing her with everyone.’
Stepdad David went on to reveal his highlight had been watching her deal with the bugs in trials, quipping: ‘you can see her jumping around like a jack in a box, me and her younger brother are loving watching that.’
During Monday’s show, Danielle was forced to take on a boatload of bugs in the Down The Tubes trial.
She made a success of her very first Bushtucker Trial after she stepped in to cover for Grace Dent who left the show due to medical reasons.

Food critic Grace, 50, had sparked concerns among viewers with her ‘unwell’ appearance, with a show spokesperson confirming on Monday that Grace left the jungle on ‘medical grounds’.
Grace had been voted along with This Morning host Josie Gibson, 38, to take part in the Down The Tubes trial by the viewing public.
However, it was Josie Josie and former EastEnders actress Danielle, 31, who arrived at the clearing for the challenge, with the pair eventually winning an impressive 10 stars.
Show host Ant McPartlin said: ‘Danielle, as you know, Grace was unable to take part and as you had the next highest number of votes we’ve got you down here as a last minute substitute.
‘Do you feel OK about it? Is it better that you haven’t had a long time to prepare?’
Danielle said: ‘I think so, the shock might help a little bit and I’m glad I’m here with my Josie.’
Josie said: ‘I’m glad I’m here with my Tinkerbell.’
Former Big Brother star Josie added: ‘I’ve come here and said I’d give it my all and that’s what I’m going to do.’
The pair walked away victorious with 10 out of 12 potential stars secured.
