Along with a behind-the-scenes clip shared on her social media platform, the season 3 winner of ‘American Idol’ gushes that ‘the determination’ in her is ‘the same thing’ she sees in her children.
AceShowbiz –Fantasia Barrino has proven that nothing could hold her back from commemorating her pregnancy. In a new social media post, the season 3 winner of “American Idol“, who welcomed her daughter Keziah nearly three weeks ago, recalled a moment when she had to push through her maternity photo shoot session despite “having contractions the entire time.”
The “Lose to Win” singer took to her Instagram account on Thursday, June 10 to share behind-the-scenes footage from her maternity shoot session. In the caption, the 36-year-old singer revealed, “The Determination in me is the same thing I see in My Children. While I was doing this photoshoot I was having contractions the entire time.”
“@mrdblanks @derickuscrawford @albert_montris & @kilprity were all asking if I wanted to stop or sit but I kept going because I wanted my pics #determined,” Fantasia continued her caption. Though the mother of three finally succeeded in completing her photo shoot session, it could be seen that she winced in pain at some points in the video.
Fantasia added in the caption that her 19-year-old daughter Zion Quari is “myself all over again when I was her age.” She also said that her 9-year-old son Dallas “Dally” Xavier “is my thinker and that’s me as well (the Bible says in the last days a child shall lead).”
One day before unveiling the behind-the-scenes clip, Fantasia debuted her newborn baby girl Keziah, whom she shares with husband Kendall Taylor, on her Instagram page. Along with a photo of herself cradling her daughter close to her chest with a polka dot-covered wrap covering them both, the singer wrote, “Almost Home.”
Since her birth, Keziah has been in the newborn intensive care unit (NICU). “Keziah was born a little too early but she is a fighter just like her Mother,” Fantasia shared on May 26. Alongside her maternity photo, she continued her note, “When you see the words Strength, Determined, Perseverance, and Unbreakable think of Fantasia Monique Taylor [sic].”
