The Foo Fighters, Beck, Stevie Nicks and several other top artists are set to perform during a virtual festival on Friday (October 23), paying tribute to the late Tom Petty.
The five-hour livestream of music and testimonials to Petty will mark what would’ve been the legendary singer-songwriter’s 70th birthday.
Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Norah Jones, Jackson Browne, Jason Isbell, Adam Sandler, the Killers, Post Malone and Eddie Vedder are among the scores of other musicians who will be paying tribute to Petty.
The first half of the tribute will air exclusively on SiriusXM‘s Tom Petty Radio Channel from 4:30-7 p.m. ET, while the second half will start streaming live from 7 p.m. ET on TomPetty.com and Amazon Music’s Twitch Channel.
The Tom Petty Birthday Bash event, organized with help from Petty’s estate, will focus on creating awareness about Save Our Stages, whose mission is to preserve and grow independent live music venues and promoters throughout the United States; Arts In Medicine, Digitunity and Musicares.
