Former Love Island star sends fans wild with huge hint he’s returning to villa

Former Love Island star Joseph Garratt has sent fans wild as he's dropped a huge hint that he is set to make a massive comeback to the villa on this year's series.

Joseph, 25, who was on the show in 2019, took to Instagram to pose a sultry snap of himself staring off into the distance as he lounged in a pool in an exotic location.

It was his caption that is sure to have sent fans wild, though, as he wrote: “Some very exciting news coming tomorrow and yes, it may involve a certain island.”

If his hint is to be believed, it appears that he could be returning to the series that made him a household name, to join the new Islanders that are settling into a £1.2million mansion in South Africa, which is the setting for the winter series.

OK! has contacted representatives at ITV for comment.

On the summer show in 2022, Love Island brought back a former contestant to enter the villa for the first time ever, in the form of Newcastle-based gym owner, Adam Collard.

Adam originally appeared on the show in 2018, and he was at the centre of plenty of drama as he was originally coupled up with Rosie Williams before making a beeline for Zara McDermott (who's now with MIC's Sam Thompson) who he dated for around eight months after the show ended.

There was plenty of anticipation for Adam's arrival into the Love Island villa in 2022, after he vowed to "ruffle some feathers," however, he ended up going straight for Paige Thorne, who he dated for a couple of months following the end of the show.

His arrival did ruffle the feathers of Jaques O'Neill, though, who had been romancing Paige up until he kissed a number of girls in Casa Amor, before choosing to remain in a couple with Paige, before all was revealed and their relationship broke down.

Jaques made a dramatic exit soon after, as he sensationally quit, citing his mental health as the reason.

Despite Paige and Adam coming fourth in the show and dating for a month or so afterwards, they soon split, with Adam hit with cheating claims.

Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, a 25-year-old model and property developer, and 24-year-old money adviser David Salako entered the Love Island villa tonight as bombshells.

The first bombshell of the series was Tom Clare, who chose to couple up with Olivia Hawkins, stealing her from Will Young.

This left Will single, with the farmer saying: "It just means that I’ve got to graft a little harder now.”

New episodes of Love Island 2023 airs at 9pm GMT on ITV2, Sunday to Friday evenings.
