The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly not be sharing a picture of their daughter for the time being.
Prince Harry, 36, and his 39 year old wife Meghan Markle welcomed Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on Friday 4 June at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California, at 11.40am, weighing 7lb 11oz.
The happy couple, who are also parents to two year old son Archie, kept the birth of their little girl a secret for two whole days before announcing it to the world. Now, it appears they've also decided to wait before sharing a photo of Lili, too.
Royal expert Omid Scobie, who wrote a biography of the pair called Finding Freedom, took to his Twitter page to inform his 68,400 followers about their decision as he wrote: "The couple, who will not be sharing a photo at this time, are now on parental leave."
He went on to explain what Harry and Meghan would like should their fans choose to send them any gifts as he continued: "For those asking about sending gifts, Harry and Meghan have asked well-wishers to support or learn about the following women-focused orgs: @girls_inc, @Camfed, @MynaMahila and @HarvestHomeLA."
The happy couple said they were over the moon by the arrival of their second child. Taking to their Archewell website, they released a statement that read: "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.
"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
Meghan and baby Lili are said to be "healthy and well" and are "settling in at home" at their house in Montecito, Santa Barbara.
Family have since taken to social media to offer their congratulations as Prince Harry's brother William, 38, and his wife Kate Middleton, 39, wrote: "We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie."
