Helen Skelton, 39, has been captured on camera clearing the marital home of various wedding gifts, eight months on from their traumatic split. The Strictly Come Dancing star, whose so-called “revenge dance” on the show last weekend went down a storm, had her possessions appraised and sold on TV.

Richie Myler, 32, is now loved up with a new partner, whom he paid tribute to on Instagram earlier this week in honour of her recent birthday.

“Happy birthday bub,” he wrote with a red love heart emoji in view of his 19,700 followers. “Thank you for always being you! I love you lots.”

This comes after Helen took part in the show Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House where, despite ditching items that had once been of sentimental value, she seemed in high spirits.

She is said to have sold 18 lots, including an antique vaulting horse, which had previously been a wedding gift for her and her Leeds Rhinos rugby ace ex-husband.

Helen also flogged Art Deco armchairs, and – more unusually – a Victorian dentist’s chair, reportedly receiving £965 in total for the huge haul.

Her decision to declutter and enjoy a massive clear out comes after she and Richie ended their eight-year marriage.

She’d given birth to three children during their relationship, including youngest child Elsie Kate, who’d been just four months old when the pair announced they’d called it quits.

Helen also has two sons by Richie: seven-year-old Ernie and five-year-old Louis.

She is reportedly relishing the opportunity to start afresh and move on from the issues she’s experienced in the past.

Meanwhile, her sensational comeback, witnessed by millions of fans every weekend on Strictly, is said to have been a distraction from any woes.

Pro dancer and former Strictly champ Ola Jordan praised Helen’s victorious appearance on the show this week.

She told the world in the Hello! magazine column she shares with partner James Jordan that she felt “every woman in the country” would have been rooting for Helen after the “difficult” time she had.

She added that there had been times when she was “stunned” that she hadn’t received a perfect score from the judges for her adrenalin-filled performances.

“I think there have definitely been points in the competition where Helen was well deserving of four tens and didn’t get them,” she insisted.

Helen’s pro dance partner Gorka Márquez has also been on hand with kind words to boost her self-confidence – both onstage and off.

The hugely supportive star set the tone early on in the competition by declaring passionately in front of the audience, judges and other dancers: “Everyone believes in you.

“I know you have been having a difficult time and… you may feel like you’re not beautiful or good enough or anything, but if you don’t believe in yourself, I believe in you.”

He added: “It doesn’t matter how many times I say it, or the judges say it, or anybody says it.

“It’s only you who is going to be the one who can make the change and the one who needs to believe in you, because you are an amazing woman, very inspirational.

“An amazing mum and incredible dancer, so believe in you, please!”

Helen, who was dressed in a stunning Spanish style costume at the time, complete with roses in her hair, then responded to his praise by jumping onto the table as a symbol of her new-found self-confidence.

Since then, her latest performance was dubbed the “revenge dance” by many followers, and although she admitted on It Takes Two that her children had been a little “embarrassed” after witnessing her as a cabaret star, her mum had “absolutely loved” it.
