I’m A Celeb producers ‘nudge campmates’ to manipulate topics says ex campmate

Former I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! campmate Nicola McLean has dished on behind-the-scenes tricks played by show producers.

The former glamour model, 38, lifted the lid on how the stars are led to open up on certain topics "when conversations get boring" despite the most exciting gossip not being "aired for legal reasons."

Bombshell Nicola, who has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother , revealed that the jungle is nothing like being in the Big Brother house as the cameras are hidden which leads to stars "being unaware" and "acting more naturally" which means conversation can sometimes become dull – so producers will step in.

"If the conversation around the camp starts to get boring, sometimes the producers will give you a nudge at the Bush Telegraph and say, 'How about you sit around the campfire and talk about this?', the WAG told Closer.

The blonde also shared how some of the camp chatter is not aired because lawyers watch the show before it airs.

She added: "As much as we are hoping for exciting Kardashian or Cheryl gossip, it might not be the case, because lawyers watch each episode before it airs to make sure the people campmates are talking about aren't defamed."

During the latest episode of I'm A Celeb the campmates were tasked with retrieving their much-longed for luxury items as part of a late night mini-challenge.

With the famous faces forced to live in basic al fresco conditions with no contact from their families for up to a month, home comforts are of vital importance when it comes to jungle survival.

On Tuesday night's show each celebrity revealed what they had selected to bring with them for support and Myles Stephenson's item was unexpected.

The Rak-Su singer announced that he had opted to take a disposable camera in with him, allowing him to 'make memories' of his time on the ITV entertainment show – despite it being filmed.

The main camp were challenged with securing each parcel from a pile and moving into a safe box across a pond using nothing but wooden oars.

Their balancing skills proved woeful with only two items making it back to camp.

Kate Garraway was gifted her concealer and rather usually, Adele Roberts returned with a framed photo of Jane McDonald who she described as a 'legend'.
