ITV star says hes in line for Philip Schofield’s This Morning job
Joel Dommett believes he could potentially replace Phillip Schofield on This Morning.
The Masked Singer host impressed when he had a brief stint on the show this summer and now he is keen to join full-time.
The 38-year-old revealed he would not mind taking on the role in a new interview.
He told The Sun: “It was genuinely fun. I enjoy, as a comic, approaching scenarios where you’re going from what would be seen as a funny segment to shifting to a quite serious mode.
“I relished that challenge. I just need to keep working hard and not be an a**ehole.”

Since Phillip’s departure, a number of presenters have stepped in on the daytime show, including Joel, Steve Jones and Craig Doyle.
They have done a shift alongside regulars including Dermot O’Leary, Ben Shephard, Marvin Humes and Rylan Clark.
The new dad said he has had more time to watch morning television as he praised Holly Willoughby – who has since left the ITV show.
He added: “It was amazing to learn from Holly, she’s been doing it a long time. I have no idea what I’m doing tomorrow, so who knows?”
