Jamie Redknapp ‘SPLITS’ with Louise Redknapp lookalike Lizzie Bowden after just months of dating

Former footballer Jamie Redknapp has reportedly split with his new girlfriend Lizzie Bowden, after starting a romance earlier in the year.

The model, who has worked with brands such as New Look and Wallis, has racked up 1,600 followers on Instagram and bears a remarkable likeness to his ex-wife, Louise Redknapp.

However, after just a few months of dating, it’s been claimed the duo have decided to call it quits on their romance as they are “too different”.

A source close to Jamie told The Sun: “Jamie enjoys Lizzie’s company, but feels they are too different to pursue anything long-term.

“His priority is his two sons and career, and he wants to hold out on finding the right woman to settle down with.

“He has a strong group of mates and a healthy social life so he is enjoying spending time with them.”

Meanwhile, Louise recently spoke openly about her shock split from Jamie, revealing that she no longer blames her ex and that she actually lacked self-esteem and passion – before Strictly Come Dancing reignited her spark in 2016.

Discussing her time on the show, the 44 year old revealed: “Who gets a second chance, you know? I just didn’t think it would ever happen for me.

“I am pleased I did Strictly, because without it I think I wouldn’t have had the courage. Any woman who’s hit her 40s will understand that.”

Revealing she wished she has been able to speak up about her desire return to work as a performer, she maintained she no longer blames her footballer ex Jamie – despite this being a different case three years ago.

“I don’t blame Jamie. I wish, three years ago, I’d been able to just speak up. For a long time it was easy to blame him,” Louise honestly admitted.

She continued: “But actually, In the past six months, I’ve thought, you know what, it was down to me to say, 'Something’s not right. My self-esteem is really struggling. I’ve got no passion. I love my kids more than anything in the world. I love what I do, too, and I haven’t quite got the guts to go out and try to do it again.'

“I just didn’t speak up. I don’t blame anyone else for that. I wish I’d just gone, 'Right, the kids are getting older, and I love my job and I’m going to give it a real go, and Jamie, if you don’t like it, tough. But if you do like it, let’s talk about it.”’
