Janette Manrara, 37, has revealed that her friends and other couples have told her how lucky she is in her marriage to fellow Strictly Come Dancing pro Aljaz Skorjanec, 31. It comes as the dancer admitted she and her husband have only argued “a handful of times”, while they’ve spent even more time in each other’s company than usual due to the coronavirus lockdown.
Reflecting on how the pandemic has affected everyone, Janette divulged: “I know it’s been awful for so many people.
“But I guess the light at the end of the tunnel for both of us has been that we’ve kind of fallen in love with each other all over again in a very different way.
“I’ve learnt how to cook. I’ve never been a fan of the kitchen and now I’m like, ‘Ok, I could do this. I can cook meals for us’.”
Opening up on spending lots of quality time together at home, which is usually a rarity for the busy couple, Janette added that they haven’t clashed very often.

She said: “But yeah, it’s been nice, it’s been nice.
“We actually, to be honest, we actually argued, like, I would say a handful of times in the last year, really, at all.”
Aljaz added in their joint interview on Access All Areas on FUBAR Radio hosted by TOWIE’s Bobby Norris and journalist Stephen Leng: “Maybe once.
“Maybe once. I can only think of one,” the dancer admitted in reference to their bickering.
Janette agreed, revealing: “We really haven’t! We really haven’t!
“And I remember talking to friends and talking to other couples and they’re like, ‘You’re very lucky you know. It’s not the case for many people’.”
Meanwhile, Janette recently credited Strictly Come Dancing for saving her relationship with Aljaz after they had planned to live apart for work purposes.
While many couples on the show are hit by the so-called curse, Janette said it’s been the opposite for the pair.

The curse is a term used to refer to a breakdown in the relationship of a participating celebrity or professional dancer during, or soon after the show.
She said: “Strictly Come Dancing, it saved us. It saved us really, in every way.
“Aljaz and I were at a point in our relationship where he was going to possibly have to move back to Slovenia and I was going back to Los Angeles, and we were going to try the long-distance thing and see what happened.
“So when we got that phone call to come and join Strictly it didn’t only give us stability workwise, it saved our relationship.”
The couple got engaged in 2015 and married two years later.
“We owe everything to the show really,” she added to The Sun.
The couple will be returning to the Strictly dance floor later this year.
Last year, Janette got to her furthest point in the competition with pop star HRVY.
Despite their best efforts, they missed out on the Glitterball trophy to Oti Mabuse and Bill Bailey.
