JoJo Siwa Reveals How Special Forces Has Changed Her Life
JoJo Siwa is opening up about her experience on the upcoming second season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test!
The 20-year-old entertainer was one of 14 celebrities taking on the challenge, which has no prize at all.
During a recent podcast interview, JoJo shared that being on the show “changed my life a lot.”
Find out in what ways inside…
“The thing with the Forces is I was ripped away from everything I know, every family member, every friend, everything. You don’t speak to anyone,” she said on Howie Mandel Does Stuff. “The longest you could be away was eight days. It’s so weird because in hindsight, you hear eight days and you’re like that’s nothing. It is.”
“Forces taught me I took so much for granted, and I will never go back, I will never ever complain about being cold ever again. It will be freezing anywhere and I’ll be like guys, I’m not gonna say it’s cold, and I will not say it’s hot. I will never complain about weathers,” she continued. “We all were cough-y, sniffle-y, just a mess. I mean, you’re exhausted. You’re mentally, you’re mentally gone.”
JoJo also teased that there was a fight as one of the challenges, and while she does not condone fighting, she said that it was one of the fun things they did.
“That’s how you know how… It was brutal,” JoJo said. “[The show] gave me such a higher respect for the people who are actually in the Special Forces, like the fact that somebody goes to BUD/S, which is the training camp, and 700 people go in and seven make it out. The respect is unreal, because that’s nine months, the real training is nine months, and this is eight days and you’re just like, it’s crazy.”
She revealed that after the show, they have required therapy sessions that they have to go to and she now has a sleeping problem, has developed a “baby stutter” and was just eating everything in sight, even if she was full.
“It was the greatest thing that I’ve done in my life. It taught me about how I want to live the rest of my life. It taught me what I value and what I care about. It taught me about my limits and how when I think I’m at them, I’m not. It taught me how to really enjoy the moment, how to really savor the moment, how to be grateful for the little things, how to not take anything for granted. It taught me about friendship and family,” JoJo shared about what she’s learned from being on the show.
