Kate Middletons Christmas gift to the Queen that couldve gone horribly wrong

Kate Middleton has shared the Christmas present she gave the Queen back in 2011, which could've "gone horribly wrong".
The 39 year old, who was recently left in hysterics as Alan Carr unveiled his body transformation at the Royal Variety, opened up on her unusual gift on an ITV documentary about the Queen's 90th birthday.
The Duchess of Cambridge explained that during her first Christmas as Sandringham 10 years ago, Kate decided to make Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 95, a jar of chutney.
She said: "I can remember being at Sandringham, for the first time, at Christmas. And I was worried what to give the Queen as her Christmas present. I was thinking, 'Gosh, what should I give her?'
"I thought back to what I would give my own grandparents. And I thought, 'I'll make her something.' Which could have gone horribly wrong. But I decided to make my granny's recipe of chutney."
While the mum-of-three admitted her concerns around the gesture, her worries were short-lived as the Queen found the perfect way of showing her appreciation for it.
Kate, who recently set another huge fashion trend after attending a Royal carol concert, added: "I was slightly worried about it, but I noticed the next day that it was on the table."
It comes as Kate and Prince William, 39, shared their annual Christmas card featuring their adorable children, Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three.
This year the card has a slightly different theme than usual, with the family seen sitting in summer attire while on holiday. Kate and Will look sun-kissed in the snap, and all wear smiles as they enjoy their trip abroad.
Body language expert Darren Stanton weighed in on the card, sharing that the pair want to come across as a "genuine" couple.

He said: "William and Kate’s family Christmas card is quite a significant change to the ‘normal’ kind of Christmas card a couple tends to release.
"I think there is a common theme from the pair that they are striving to show they are a normal family, just like the rest of us.
"The photo signifies that the Royal couple are going to be very much their own people.
