Lady Gaga Goes Brunette in Rome Ahead of Shooting Her New Film, Gucci

Lady Gaga has gone back to her roots.

The “Stupid Love” singer was photographed outside a hotel in Rome yesterday, debuting a major new look. The pop star ditched her traditional, platinum-blonde tresses for her natural brunette locks, which were styled in a loose updo. It’s possible the hair transformation is either a temporary dye job or a trusty wig, as Gaga is on location to start shooting her next film, but she still nailed the look.

Gaga paired her new ‘do with a striking leopard-print caftan from Celine’s fall/winter 2020 ready-to-wear collection and accessorized with oversized black sunglasses, a studded face mask, black pointed-toe heels, and a leather handbag.

According to E! News, Gaga about to begin production on her latest film, Gucci, for which she is portraying Maurizio Gucci’s ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani. The upcoming fashion film is directed by Ridley Scott and also stars Jared Leto, Al Pacino, and Adam Driver. The script is based on the book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed, by author Sara Gay Forden.

Gucci will mark Gaga’s return to the silver screen, following her stunning starring role in 2019’s A Star Is Born. The musical drama was directed by Bradley Cooper, who also starred alongside Gaga. The singer went on to win a BAFTA, Critics Choice Award, and an Oscar for her musical contributions to the film. Here’s to hoping she receives similar acclaim for Gucci.
