Lauren Goodger seen on family day out with ex Charles Drury and daughter after his assault charge
Lauren Goodger made her first public outing with her ex Charles Drury since he was charged with assaulting her on the day of their baby daughter Lorena's funeral last August.
The former TOWIE icon, 37, and Charles, 26, share their two-year-old daughter Larose, and were pictured on a family day out together at Lakeside shopping centre in Essex on Monday.
The former couple, who dated for two years before splitting in January 2022, spent time together as a family as they took their toddler shopping and for a meal at TGI Fridays.
Lauren pushed the pram which was filled shopping bags while Charles held Larose's hands as he walked with the adorable toddler.
Lauren kept a low profile on the outing, wearing casual leggings and a hoodie while Charles opted for shorts paired with a black cap and puffer jacket.
The pair seemed amicable as they were pictured chatting as they walked along together.
It marked the first time Charles has been seen out in public with Lauren since he denied assaulting her.
Charles is charged of inflicting actual bodily harm on the television personality on August 4 2022, Snaresbrook Crown Court heard.
The 26-year-old is also charged with engaging in “controlling or coercive behaviour” against Lauren between August 1 2020 and August 5 2022.
The second charge stated that he “assaulted Lauren Goodger thereby occasioning her actual bodily harm” on August 4 2022.
This was the day of their baby daughter Lorena's funeral. Lauren and Charles Drury split shortly after the death of their second child Lorena, who died minutes after she was born.
Judge Oscar Del Fabbro adjourned the case ahead of a further pre-trial hearing at the same court on February 12 2024, followed by a trial, listed for five days, starting on March 18 2024.
He released Drury on unconditional bail.
Lauren has previously spoken of Lorena’s traumatic birth. She had been hoping for a home birth but was rushed to hospital when her midwife could no longer hear her baby’s heartbeat.
“I never ever thought I would have to plan a funeral for my child,” she said. “It shouldn’t happen. It breaks my heart that I won’t see her grow up.”
At the beginning of the year, Lauren addressed rumours that she had rekindled her romance with Charles.
Photos of the builder leaving Lauren's home sparked rumours that they were back together. However, Lauren told OK! that this was not the case.
She said: "There have been many rumours that I am in a relationship with my ex-partner Charles Drury. I am not. I am single.
"We are co-parenting. This decision has been made for sake of Larose and her future. I haven’t been barely socialising or been on a date with anyone else.
"I am healing and feel like I’m getting to a place where I can start to live a normal life again. I am looking forward to socialising and working again in the near future plus being the best mum I can to my beautiful daughter Larose who is my rock."
