Laurence Fox ‘worried’ for family as he faces ‘imminent GB News axe’
Laurence Fox releases video after GB News suspension
Laurence Fox has said he is worried for his two sons after being “cancelled” for a second time due to his views.
The Reclaim Party leader was suspended from GB News after making a series of derogatory remarks about journalist Ava Evans on Dan Wootton’s show earlier this week, and now believes he’ll be sacked for good.
Laurence referred to Ava as a “little woman” and asked “Who’d want to s**g that?” in a rant about her live on the programme.
Last night, the actor released a 15-minute video in which he discussed his future and that of his sons, alongside his controversial views, before apologising to Ava for “demeaning” her.
During the clip, he revealed he was worried about his sons Winston, 14, and Eugene, 10, who he shares with ex-wife Billie Piper.

Laurence began by saying it had “been a tricky couple of days” adding: “I am now on my second cancellation, so as a father-of-two, raising two children and starting again is very, very worrying.
“I’m not saying any of this stuff because I know I’m going to get sacked tomorrow. I’m saying this stuff to clear my own conscience. So I do want to say that I do think that what’s happened is that a narrative has been spun and a scapegoat has been found, which is me. I don’t think that has been particularly fair.”
Laurence went on to say he was “worried” for the future of his boys due to this generation’s feminism.
“Women have been suppressed but this wave of feminism that we’re on feels like it’s not about equality, it’s about authority over men,” he added.

“I fear for my boys so I don’t like it when I hear someone saying that. I don’t like it when an anti-male sentiment is so loud.
“We need a society full of strong women with great ideas. What we don’t need is a society full of victims who want to take revenge on men because what happens then is you get a feminisation of masculinity and this idea of toxic masculinity but nobody ever sees the toxic femininity,” Laurence continued.
The father-of-two went on to explain what he meant by his previous comments about Ava as he reflected on comments she made on TalkTV, in which she claimed she wanted to see men “terrified”.
He continued to say he was trying to make a point about society needing stronger men, but admitted he could have expressed it in a better way.
“It’s not right, it’s demeaning to Ava, so I’m sorry for demeaning you in that way, however angry I am with you still for doing that, and it demeans me because it’s not representative of who I am,” he added.
Laurence initially made the comments in response to Ava’s views on BBC Politics Live the day before about men’s mental health.
After the show, she said: “I was a little rash on my anti-minister for men comments which I do regret and am actually very interested in a brief for a minister on young men’s mental health.”
In his latest video, he added: “I think that Ava shouldn’t paint all men with one brush, in the same way as I shouldn’t paint all women with one brush. I was being particular about a certain ideological-driven type of woman.”
Fox finished his speech telling viewers to “be curious” because there are “a lot more stories going around out there than the ones that are shoved down your neck every day”.
