Louise Redknapps younger boyfriend unveiled as she moves on from Jamie Redknapp

Louise Redknapp has been seen in public with a new man years after she and ex-husband Jamie Redknapp divorced in 2017.

The 48-year-old was seen with Andrew “Drew” Michael, who is nine years her junior, looking cosy as they left The Groucho Club, a members-only club, in London.

The pair had attended the venue as they celebrated comedian Jimmy Carr’s 51st birthday.

However, it seems that Louise’s choice of a new partner is a far cry from what she is used to, as it appears Drew has no connections to the showbiz world.

Drew was a public schoolboy and attended Pangbourne College in Reading, Berkshire before going to study at the University of Nottingham where he graduated in 2005.

Currently, he is Chief Executive Officer at Overwatch Group which supplies war-related equipment to the Royal Marines and the Army. According to MailOnline, he has also previously been involved in the Army.

The 39-year-old reportedly worked in the Armed Forces as a Platoon Commander and a Fire Support Group Commander, and in 2010 was given a Mention in Despatches in connection with his work with the Rifles, which is an infantry regiment in the Army, as part of the Operational Honours and Awards List.

This meant that his name was included by a superior officer in an official account which was then sent to the War Office.

In 2019, Louise opened up about the breakdown of her marriage to Jamie, 50, which lasted nearly 20 years.

Though she said that it was a “mutual decision”, the singer also had the desire to get her career back on track rather than just being a mum and “Stepford wife.”

She told Stella Magazine: “I didn’t want to continue running around after everyone else, and occasionally promoting a yoghurt or doing a little TV presenting job.

“I wanted to sing, I wanted to perform. I wanted to go back to work on a stage in front of an audience.”

She told The Daily Telegraph that she felt as though she had “lost myself”.

The mother-of-two added: “I have spent most of my life pleasing everyone else, worrying about being judged and thinking I should always do the right thing by staying at home, looking after my kids and my husband. I lost myself.

“I think this happens to a lot of women when they get married and have children. You have this feeling deep inside you, ‘Where did I go?’ But I pushed those thoughts away.”

She continued: “I’d think of my past life as a pop star as being not reality. Looking after the house and my family was my reality.”
