Love Island’s Coco reveals stars secretly use their phones to communicate ‘under the duvet’

Dumped Love Island star Coco Lodge has revealed that the Islanders secretly communicate with each other on their phones “under the duvet”.

The 27 year old confessed this along with other villa secrets as she was interviewed on the Capital Breakfast radio show on Tuesday.

Coco was sent home from Love Island on Friday night's episode following a public vote and as she appeared on the Global station, host Roman Kemp teased: "You told us something [off-air that's] really interesting about how you all secretly communicate in the villa."

"Yeah we write message to each other on the phone," Coco confessed.

Sounding shocked, Roman said: "You write messages to each other on the phone? What type of things?

Coco responded: "Like hide it under the duvet so they can’t see…", leading Roman to ask: "What type of thing are you telling to each other?"

"I’m just telling people what TikToks are out about them," Coco answered.

"With the boys I think they did it before the Casa Amor recoupling to tell each other who they’re picking, so it wasn’t so secret, so the boys knew who to have their back."

Wanting to know more, Roman asked: "Are they asking about their followers and stuff like that?" to which Coco replied: "Yeah everyone’s always asking about that, they’re all very interested in their Instagrams."

The star posted a photo on Instagram following her time on Capital Breakfast as she posed with hosts Roman, Sian Welby and Sonny Jay.

Coco looked stunning as she wore a blue corseted bandeau top and a pair of light blue denim shorts with black and white printed trainers.

The Casa Amor bombshell also discussed how she felt seeing nasty trolls leaving hateful comments on her Instagram when she left the villa.

Sian said: "You’ve been getting some awful, awful trolling, horrific comments on your Instagram, on Twitter, I mean what was it like coming out of the villa and suddenly seeing all that?"

Coco replied: "I just didn’t expect it because I wasn’t pre-warned, so when I got my phone back, I was literally on the way to the airport and I was reading all these comments about my appearance, and how I look and I was literally shocked.

"And I know there was an article released of me at the airport and it was “Coco Lodge fuming when she sees the trolls comments” and I just think, I was upset, I wasn’t fuming, it hurt, it is what it is."

Despite these setbacks, Coco has said she has no regrets from Love Island on Instagram, as she wrote: “I have no regrets, I was true to myself and my feelings.”

Listen to Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp, weekdays from 6am – 10am across the UK and on Global Player.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
