Love Islands Ekin-Su and Davide spark concern as they share hospital pic in Italy
Love Island winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have sparked concern among fans after sharing a photograph of them in hospital.
Davide posted the snap to his Instagram stories, which shows the couple wearing face masks in an Italian medical ward.
The 28 year old appeared in the image with his arm slung around the shoulders of Ekin-Su.
He captioned the picture by saying: "So in hospitals in Italy it's still required to wear the mask apparently."
Neither of the pair looked visibly hurt so the reason for the hospital trip remained unclear.
However, Italian businessman Davide shared a separate image to his Instagram stories – this time a mirror selfie showing him with what appears to be a medical bandage on his left wrist.
OK! has approached his representative for comment.
It would not be the first time the couple had experienced holiday mishaps in recent times.
Earlier this year, Ekin-Su and Davide shared some of their holiday disasters as they headed to the Maldives for some winter sun.
The couple, who won Love Island 2022, jetted off on a luxury holiday to celebrate Davide’s 28th birthday – filming the trip to share with their followers on their new YouTube channel.
However, the idyllic trip was not without some hiccups, with Davide being turned away from the restaurant at the luxury resort where they were staying for not wearing a t-shirt.
The couple also nearly missed their departure flight and Ekin-Su tripped over as she boarded the plane.
This week, Ekin-Su opened up on the mental health struggles she secretly battled while starring on Dancing On Ice earlier this year.
The 28 year old, who was the third celebrity eliminated from the hit ITV1 skating show in February, told Cosmopolitan UK she "couldn't say anything" about her issues until now.
She said: "There have been things in my life that I can’t mention now that have affected my mental health for a while. I had to keep smiling and pretend everything was fine.
"This was during Dancing On Ice when there were things in the background – not relationship related, by the way – [they were] work-related, that was very hard.
"I couldn’t say anything. It was mentally draining. That was one of the tough times. It took me a while to get back out of it…Your mental health is your priority."
She also recently discussed the pressure she feels to constantly prove to her fans that she and Davide have not split up.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: "Before I was on Love Island I would put an Instagram picture on there once a month.
"Now that I’m in the public eye, if I don’t change my profile picture people will think we have broken up or that something has happened, and it has not.”
The couple also shared a picture of their new sofa earlier this month – with fans observing that it was 'bigger than an entire flat'.
