Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen, 46, has taken to Twitter to reveal that she had an “altercation with a campervan” over the weekend while attempting to bring her herd of cows back home to Ravenseat’s pasture after they escaped from the farm. The mother-of-nine documented the recovery mission, which thankfully ended with her herd returning back home safely.

In view of her 173,700 followers, Amanda revealed how her herd of cows had escaped from Ravenseat.

Alongside a video of her shooing the creatures back to the farm, Amanda jokingly said that the “traffic” was moving speedily.

She wrote: “Early morning cow escape klaxon.

“Traffic mooooving along nicely in Yorkshire!”, she added. (sic)

Filming the animals making their way back to their field, Amanda could be heard gently encouraging them.

Giving her followers an update on the escapees, the star revealed that she had faced a run-in with a campervan while herding her cows home.

She penned: “After a brief but speedy roadtrip, an altercation with a campervan and a detour via a campsite they stopped for rest & to enjoy the view at @MyFaveBench.”

Amanda posted a series of snaps from her early-morning rescue mission, which include a selfie with her cows.

However, the star’s hashtag caused confusion amongst some of her followers who misread “bench” as “beach”.

“I read that as ‘myfavebeach’ and thought, they must have run a heck of a long way to get to a beach,” one wrote.

Another added: “Me too. Guess we just wanted to see them on the beach!”

The star grinned from ear to ear after successfully bringing her cows home, while still sporting a hint of the bruise she gained recently.

It comes after Amanda sparked concern amongst her followers after posting a video of herself with a black eye on social media last week.

Posting several pictures on Twitter, she gave fans a look at her injury while holding an ice pack up against it.

She penned about the incident: “Injured in the line of duty. *Head-butted by a sheep*.”

Amanda added that she had received sympathy following the incident, which saw her get headbutted by a sheep while shearing them in Ravenseat’s barn.

The star posted a video of herself expertly shearing the wool coats from her flock, revealing her injury right at the end of the clip.

She penned on Twitter: “Did qualify for some sweet sympathy though.”

The shepherdess added several hashtags to her post writing “#yorkshire #shepherdess #kind #sweet #treat #kebab #fruit #chocolate #cake #stickytoffee.”

Amanda was accompanied by her son Sidney in one of the snaps, as she shared the insight into her injury.
