Ozzy Osbourne Says Latest Spinal Surgery Will Be His Last
Ozzy Osbourne has undergone surgery on his neck to correct spinal damage he incurred in an accident in 2019.
In the latest episode of “The Osbournes Podcast,” recorded a day before the surgical procedure, the Black Sabbath frontman said, “Tomorrow, I have my final surgery on my neck, which it is gonna be the final surgery, because I can’t do it anymore. Regardless of the way it ends up after tomorrow, I’m not doing it anymore. I can’t.”
Ozzy opened up about his battle with health issues in the podcast recorded on September 16.
The 74-year-old English singer-songwriter and television personality added that while his health had “improved somewhat” with treatment, he still struggled with his mobility.
“My feet feel like I’ve got bricks tied to them when I’m walking,” he said. “I walked upstairs today and downstairs for the first time in a while, and my feet feel like I’ve got diving boots on when I’m walking. I think it’s the nerves.”
Ozzy, who aggravated a decade-old spine injury in 2019 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease a year later, announced his retirement from touring in February due to structural damage to his spine.
