Talk about an unlikely trio!
Pauly D recently visited Jersey Shore: Family Vacation castmate Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino in prison… and while the two of ’em where chopping it up in The Big House, they ran across another celebrity of sorts: Billy McFarland, the infamous Fyre Festival fraudster! WTF?!
Pauly D revealed it all to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live the other night on Bravo, as you can see in the clip (watch the segment on YouTube, above!), sharing a little dirt both on The Situation’s time in prison and how he’s doing in there, as well as more info on seeing McFarland there visiting with his family, as well.
When asked about how his friend was doing behind bars, the reality TV star was quick to note (below):
“He’s doing really well. I went there to visit him and I thought they were going to basically strip search me and stuff like that—wasn’t the case. It was very laid-back. He’s happy, positive…He’s just so happy to get it over with and he just wants to come out. He sees Lauren like every week. He’s almost done.”
Awww! Talk about good friends — for life!
Of course, The Situation is in there on a count of tax evasion, which he originally was sentenced for back in October 2018 after pleading guilty in court. He was sentenced to begin his time in the clink back in January; if all goes well, he will get out in September and be able to go home free and clear to be with wife Lauren Pesce, so, yeah, Pauly D was right about Mike almost being done!
In addition to prison time, he’s facing two years of supervised release, as well, and he’ll have to complete 500 hours of community service as well as pay a $10,000 fine, too, but the prison time is the big one — and the one that The Situation is most urgently taking care of!
As for the rest of the clip (above), it’s absolutely hilarious to hear that McFarland was in prison alongside Mike, too — the Fyre Festival fraudster is serving his own sentence on an array of charges but, considering he’s in the same facility as the Jersey Shore star (and based on Pauly D’s own prison description), it sure sounds like McFarland isn’t exactly doing hard time, either. Oh, well. Now if they could only pin the rest of that Fyre Festival drama on Ja Rule! Ha!!!
