Prince William smiles as he attends awards night – as bombshell new royal book released

Prince William appeared to shrug off any concerns as he attended the Tusk Conservation Awards, just hours before the publication of Omid Scobie's Endgame, which is set to include bombshell claims about the royal family.

William, 41, was all smiles as he was photographed at the event posing with the award winners, and later with Rolling Stones star Ronnie Wood.

The Prince of Wales founded the Tusk Conservation Award 11 years ago, which aims to safeguard elephants, rhinos and other wildlife, and did not let any of the recent royal bombshells stop him from attending the charitable event.

In the book, which is set to be published on 28 November, William is labelled "power-hungry", while King Charles is dubbed "unpopular."

On Amazon, the book's description reads: "An unpopular king, a power-hungry heir to the throne, a queen willing to go to dangerous lengths to preserve her image, and a prince forced to start a new life after being betrayed by his own family."

And ahead of the release, Omid has made claims about William's relationship with his brother Prince Harry, which has been in a downward spiral since 2019.

Speaking to People Magazine, the royal biographer claims that William sees Harry as a "defector" and that some within the Royal institution view him as a "threat to the Crown."

He also claimed that Prince William is prioritising his loyalty to the Crown and is allegedly working with the UK press to undermine Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Elsewhere, Omid also takes aim at Kate Middleton, writing that "she shudders and giggles when she hears Meghan Markle's name."

The explosive claims from Endgame have been serialised in French magazine Paris Match, with the extract reading: "Every time she hears about Meghan, Kate shudders and giggles."

The book also quotes a royal insider saying: "She [Kate] spent more time talking about Meghan… than with Meghan."

In his new book subtitled, Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival, Omid aims to reveal the turmoil within the monarchy and what changes are needed for its survival.

The book features intriguing chapters like 'Shaky Ground: The Queen is Dead, the Monarchy Faces Trouble', 'The Fall of Prince Andrew: Scandal, Shame and Silencing Jane Doe', 'Race and the Royals: Institutional Bigotry and Denial', 'Gloves On: Prince William, Heir to the Throne', and 'Gloves Off: Prince Harry, Man on a Mission'.
