Rihanna makes a low-key trip to stock up on Uncle Ben's boil in the bag rice

Rihanna might be a global icon but deep down she’s really just like the rest of us – a huge fan of Uncle Ben’s boil in the bag rice.

The businesswoman and singer, 32, was snapped out shopping in a flamboyant pair of wide-legged red trousers and a t-shirt reading ‘firefighter’ as she picked up some essentials.

Rihanna was seen cradling an armful of seasoning and Uncle Ben’s boil in the bag rice among her haul, and honestly, who can blame her for choosing the time-saving option.

She visited Ralph’s and Bristol Farms in Los Angeles during the outing, where she bumped in Tyler, The Creator, and the pair were seen having a catch up at the cash register.

While Rihanna has recently been included on the Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 list for the first time, it seems she enjoys picking up her own groceries in person.

The Savage x Fenty creator was joined by a bodyguard and an assistant as she made her way around the Beverly Hills supermarkets, and they helped to carry her shopping bags out to the car.

Both Rih and Tyler were seen wearing surgical masks on their faces amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, keeping them on both inside and outside the store.

It looked like Tyler only popped in for one item, unlike Rihanna, and was seen leaving the shop with just a bottle of barbecue sauce.

Rihanna has recently been added to Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women Under 40 list after netting an estimated fortune of $600million (£456million).

Her wealth is largely made up from the success of her music, her Fenty Beauty brand and her Savage X Fenty lingerie lines.

Her cosmetics range has brought huge increases to her wealth since it first launched in 2017, making $100million (£76million) in sales in the first 40 days after it launched.

Fans have still been clamouring for her to release her next album, the follow-up to 2016’s Anti, however the star has yet to confirm when, or indeed if, she will be releasing it.
