Sir Rod Stewart, 76, was invited to conduct the Scottish Cup draw on live TV alongside former Hibernian manager Alan Stubbs and SFA president Alan McRae. The rockstar was noticeably worse for wear and was seen laughing and making over-the-top hand gestures as he dived in to pick out a ball.
It went all around the world and sort of put Scottish football draws on the map,

Dressed in a smart blazer with a leopard print scarf, the Maggie May hitmaker was also seen shouting the numbers he had drawn and cheered when he gave his beloved team Celtic a home draw.
The singer has now said he had pre-warned bosses he liked to drink while watching football and clarified his gestures were an impersonation of Rod Hull and his Emu puppet.
When asked about the moment, he said: “I did tell them, I said, ‘Listen guys when I come and watch the football I do like a bevvy or two’.
“They said, ‘Don’t worry about it.’

“I was doing the Emu every time I was pulling the balls out.”
During the draw, Rod was also seen giggling and being distracted by someone who was off camera.
He explained on The Harry Redknapp Show podcast: “I had had a couple and my best mate was sitting on the floor next to me behind the desk putting me off.”
The infamous video went viral and currently has over 400,000 views on YouTube.
“It got so many hits, it really did. It went all around the world and sort of put Scottish football draws on the map,” he added.
In the same chat, Rod discussed the moment he was awarded with an OBE at Buckingham Palace in 2016.
The rockstar was honoured for his services to music and charity by the Duke of Cambridge and later met the Queen.
Speaking of what Prince William said to him at the time, he recalled: “He said, ‘So, are you still singing?’ I said, ‘Yeah mate, I’ve got a big family. I’ve got to’.

“It was a proud moment though. I wish my dad had seen it.
“I went to the palace, got p***ed at lunchtime.”
He went on to say: “The Queen asked me how Will had done, saying ‘Did he make a good job of it?’ I said ‘Yeah’. I’m definitely a Royalist for sure’.”
Rod collected his award with his wife Penny Lancaster and their two sons Alastair and Aiden by his side.
Discussing his career further with Harry, the former Faces star was also quizzed on what can be found on his rider during gigs.
At first the singer jokingly hesitated as he told Harry’s co-star Dodge: “It’s a family programme.”
He then went on to say: “In the old days, four or five bottles of wine, red wine, Bacardi, that’s all, nothing else, mostly for the band.
“When we come off stage we have a little party in my dressing room for them to celebrate after every gig.”
Rod was due to go on tour last year but this has since been postponed to 2022, due to the coronavirus.
