Russell Crowe is gunning for that Oscar, as he revealed his latest transformation for Unhinged.
The 55-year-old is currently shooting for his upcoming film, in which he plays a psychotic man who makes a woman’s life hell after a road rage incident.
And he stayed in character as he enjoyed a cigarette break on set, between takes.
He appeared to rock a fat suit for the role, underneath a light blue shirt – complete with blood stains – and beige trousers.
In the film, he goes after a woman who beeps at him on the road in a severe fit of road rage – and takes it out on everyone close to her.
Basically, it sounds terrifying.
Russell has been joined by Gabriel Bateman, Caren Pistorius and Anne Leighton in the cast.
But this isn’t the only time the actor has undergone a major transformation for a role.
Earlier this year, the Gladiator star was spotted on the streets of New York looking completely different as he turned into TV executive Roger Ailes for The Loudest Voice In The Room.
And, thanks to a prosthetic face and bald cap, no one had any clue they were walking straight past the award-winning actor.
Russell recently made headlines after he let slip that he bought a dinosaur skull from Leonardo DiCaprio when he was drunk – for $35,000 (£28,000).
A casual purchase.
During an appearance on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM’s show, he admitted: ‘I bought it for my kids, and you know, cut myself a little bit of slack here, there was a bunch of vodka involved in the transaction and it happened at Leonardo’s house…’
So far, so relatable.
‘I think he started the conversation, he’s like, “I got this one, but there’s another one coming on the market that I really want so I’m trying to sell this one” and I said, “Well, I’ll buy it”.
‘I said “How much you want for it?” He was pretty cool about it, he said, “Just give me what I paid for it,” and I think he paid 30, 35 grand for it.’
Someone give Russell Crowe the dad of the year award, right now.
