Stacey Solomon reveals boyfriend Joe Swash is bedridden as his injured ear i ‘really playing up’

Stacey Solomon has given an update on her other half Joe Swash's injured ear.

The Loose Women panellist took to her Instagram Stories to tell her 3 million followers that the 38 year old Dancing On Ice champion, who sustained an injury after a skating incident during training, has been resting in bed.

Joe had been "kicked in the ear" by his skating partner Alex Murphy during a training session ahead of his final performance.

His unfortunate luck landed him in the hospital as he needed to get the infected ear drained, and was subsequently left wearing a bandage around his head for a week.

While it's been healing without much issue since his DOI win, Stacey said it's been "playing up" again, which means he's had to rest.

Speaking to her fans while their nine month old son Rex crawled on her, the 30 year old said: "Joe is today – his ear is playing him up so he's actually spending the day resting in bed."

Stacey, who recently gave her son Rex a miniature Dyson vacuum toy that actually works, had spent most of the morning and afternoon shopping in preparation for self-isolation over Coronavirus fears.

However, during her outing she got a little distracted and ended up in the Easter section of various stories, including Poundland, and bought a few bits and pieces for the special April day.

Referencing this, she continued: "But I'm quite pleased because now he won't find out…" she said before moving the camera over to show an Easter wreath and bunny, "that I caved."

"Loads of you asking where Hoe is today…" she wrote over it, with "Hoe" being the hilarious nickname she calls her significant other.

She continued: "His ear is really playing him up so he's in bed resting. But I'm quite please because now he won't find out that I caved gotta find somewhere to hide it until Easter," [sic] alongside a laughing emoji and a chick coming out of a shell emoji.

It comes as Stacey recently gushed over Joe, explaining that she's just so happy to "have him back" after he spent weeks away from home to train for his appearance on DOI.

Sharing a photo of herself and Joe surrounded by their children, she wrote: "Bunnndddllleeee…. We finally have him back We’ve missed you sooooo much but it was ALL worth it… [sic]
