Stevie Nicks Shares Powerful New Song ‘Show Them The Way’
Stevie Nicks has released a powerful rock ballad, “Show Them the Way,” her first new solo song since the release of her 2014 album 24 Karat Gold.
Greg Kurstin produced the Cameron Crowe-directed video.
Nicks has released two official versions of the song, one an acoustic, piano-only take and another, a full-band recording, featuring Dave Stewart on guitar and Dave Grohl on drums.
“I was ready for the Kennedys/ I don’t know if it was 1960 or 1963,” Nicks sings on the track.
“Someone said, ‘Sing us a song, there’s a piano’/And handed me a drink/The room was full of hope/A song would set them free,” she delivers on the vivid tune.
Nicks said she wanted to include the song on her 2011 album In Your Dreams, but couldn’t do so as she presented it to her collaborators very late.
