The One Show host Angela Scanlon, 37, has been rushed to hospital after her Addison Lee private car collided with a private ambulance in London, according to reports. Witnesses of the horror four-car crash say the Addison Lee car had been struck by a van which had previously been hit by a BMW.

Angela was treated by medics who rushed to the scene before being transferred to a hospital for further medical attention.

The incident reportedly took place at 9.30am on Tuesday and left the car the presenter was in close to a write-off.

The crash occurred in The Bishops Avenue, nicknamed “billionaires row”, in north London.

A photo of the vehicle Angela was in, obtained by The Sun, shows the damage inflicted by the crash, along with its airbag being inflated from the impact.

Police closed the roads while emergency services attended the scene.

Sources have said Angela was fortunately released from hospital after the incident and was “doing ok”.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Angela for comment.

The presenter has been busy hosting The One Show with former footballer Jermaine Jenas this week, amid regular host Alex Jones’ maternity leave.

The crash reportedly occurred just five minutes away from her home.

A local told the publication: “It was a serious crash which involved four vehicles.

“It made a hell of a racket. Quite loud bangs.

“It was four vehicles in total.
