Wynonna Judd, Bob Weir Share New Rendition Of Grateful Dead’s ‘Ramble On Rose’

Country crooner Wynonna Rudd has collaborated with the Grateful Dead founder Bob Weir to release an all-new rendition of the band’s hit song “Ramble On Rose.”

The track, which originally appeared on the Dead’s 1972 live album, Europe ’72, was co-written by frontman Jerry Garcia and lyricist Robert Hunter.

“They say that when the student is ready, the teacher appears,” Wynonna said of the new collaboration. “Robert Weir showed up in my life just in time! And I am so very thankful to have yet another opportunity to celebrate our musical gifts together!!”

Weir also joined Rudd at her San Fransisco concert and performed 10 songs alongside her backing band, The Big Noise, including popular Grateful Dead hits and some of Judd’s most popular tunes.

The new song was released as a digital single and is available on streaming services now.
