Bogey Boys' Holiday 23 Collection Leans Into Patterns
Patterns, if executed well, can look seriously good on the golf course. Just think, for example, about some of those polos that Tiger Woods used to wear in the 90s. Unfortunately, patterns in golf have veered off in the wrong direction of late. We’re talking specifically about those overly stretchy polos with crazy floral prints. But with its latest drop, which arrives in time for the holiday season, Bogey Boys is looking to get us back on track.
The Holiday Collection, as it has been branded, features a number of polos, both short and long sleeve, plus jackets that are ideal for getting off your grandpacore fits. Let’s start with the standout Houndstooth Weekend Jacket, which features a colorful and vibrant take on the classic menswear pattern. Quite fittingly, it has a 10% wool composition which should give it a nice hand feel and weight. Next to this is the Desert Diamond Athletic Polo where a similar color palette of light blue and white comes to the fore, but this time is arranged into a classic harlequin shape. Out of all the pieces from the collection, this, along with two solid polos, are the most specific to golf.
Lastly, another prime example of the brand experimenting with menswear patterns is the long sleeve Houndstooth Script Polo, which is a more traditional take on houndstooth compared with the Weekend Jacket. This piece will likely see action both on and off course with its polo/rayon blended fabric.
