This is my body. This is my temple. This was my sons home. This is me. This is real. This is beautiful Having stretch marks is incredibly difficult to accept at first. Having your body reach limits you never thought possible is hard to accept at first. A body with stretch marks is beautiful and amazing. It’s a small price to pay for a beautiful little human being. A body with stretch marks is an incredible work of art. No one has a perfect body, no one will ever have a perfect body because we are our own worst critics. There will always be something we do not like. Accept that. You don’t need to be an online model to be beautiful. You don’t have to be “flawless” to be beautiful.. BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL just the way you are. Want to work out? Tone up? Lose weight? Meal prep GO FOR IT. Do what makes you happy for you! Being your undeniable self is beautiful..Accepting & understanding your flaws is beautiful. Self love comes from within. Self love comes from accepting yourself and truly being happy with yourself. This is motherhood. This is real. I’m happy for the ones who have that baby belly congrats girl you are rocking it, I’m happy for the ones who are able to “bounce back”, I’m happy for the ones with no stretch marks. I’m happy for you all. No matter what motherhood is beautiful. Your life is beautiful and should be celebrated. No matter what your body looks like..it is a temple. It is a home. And last but not least it is incredible. It all is incredibly YOU. Accept what is, let go of what was & have faith in what will be. We all need to accept there is no SnapBack for Mother’s. Going into motherhood is the most rewarding and completely life changing thing. You’ll never be a past self. You have to evolve. You have to appreciate and accept yourself. The goal is never to be label as perfect, the goal is to embrace what you have and what you bring into the world. Understand that no one in this world will EVER be a you. #thisismotherhood #momlife #mombod #stretchmarks #postpartumbody #postbabybody #selfcare #selflove #acceptance #mom #csectionscar #mybody #mybeauty #real #mommy #babybody

Some C-sections are even performed vertically.

Scars come in all shapes and sizes and although vertical c section scars are much less common some women do have them. The incision at the uterus will be stitched up with dissolvable stiches but doctors will close your skin with either staples, stiches or glue. The way you are stitched up can have an affect on the way your wound heals and scar tissue forms. Any redness or swelling of the incision, fever, increasing pain or pain in one particular spot (rather than general pain) or oozing from the wound could be signs of infection and you should consult your doctor immediately. Once your wound is fully healed, massage is an amazing tool for aiding healing and reducing problems that scar tissue can cause.
