In a statement, David says a heartfelt goodbye to the shoe and the character he had played for so long, “As Curb comes to an end, I will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be – the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character.” He added, “And so ‘Larry David,’ I bid you farewell. Your misanthropy will not be missed. And for those of you who would like to get in touch with me, you can reach me at Doctors Without Borders.”

It just takes time for him to go out in the world.” it appears that this time, the goodbye to the beloved show is real, HBO CEO Casey Bloys said, “It’s hard to say farewell to such a ground-breaking, brilliantly funny and iconic series like Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
The cast for the final season sees Tracey Ulman listed as well as the return of Irma Kostroski, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, Cheryl Hines, J.B. Smoove, Richard Lewis, Ted Danson and Vince Vaughn. Season 12 premieres on February 4 at 10 p.m. on HBO and Max.
