Franck Muller Unveils the Vanguard "Slim Skeleton"
Franck Muller has revealed its latest timepiece, the Vanguard Slim Skeleton. The watch marries the elegance of a slim movement, entirely conceived and crafted in-house, with the maker’s iconic Vanguard case and numerals — available in two case sizes and 11 different iterations.
At the heart of the Vanguard Slim Skeleton’s design lies its slender case, measuring just 9.1 millimeters in thickness. This feat of engineering reflects Franck Muller’s commitment to achieving excellence in design while maintaining the precision and functionality that are hallmarks of their timepieces. The watchmakers have reduced the case thickness without compromising the watch’s character, accuracy, or technical prowess.
The watch also features a uniquely designed skeleton movement, exclusively manufactured for the Vanguard Slim Skeleton collection. This in-house movement, despite its slim build, boasts automatic winding and a power reserve of 38 hours. The skeletonized design allows for a view of the inner workings of the watch, showcasing its intricate architecture.
One of the standout elements of the Vanguard Slim Skeleton is the way Franck Muller’s signature numerals seem to float above the skeleton movement, creating a sense of depth and transparency. The dial is crafted with meticulous care at Franck Muller’s Dial Manufacture in Les Bois, Jura. The process of creating the open-worked skeleton dial and setting the numerals demands an extraordinary level of precision and expertise, particularly in the diamond-setting process.
Available in both 41 millimeters and 37 millimeters, customers can choose from a variety of materials, including rose gold, white gold, stainless steel and titanium. Additionally, the curved case and numerals offer the option of being hand-set with either white or black round brilliant diamonds, adding a touch of luxury and personalization, for a total of 11 different available iterations.
