G-SHOCK Announces ‘League of Legends’ Collaboration
G-SHOCK just unveiled its official collaboration with League of Legends. Comprising two models, the collaboration centers around a GA-110 and GM-B2100, both in completely different designs that simultaneously nod to iconic elements of the Riot Games’ popular multiplayer online battle arena game.
Boasting the GA-110’s signature rugged appeal, the GA-110LL-1AJR features an explosion of bright pink, yellow, cyan, and white against a black resin base. From the chaotically playful aesthetics to the choice of motifs and color schemes, the watch draws its design references from Jinx — one of the game’s playable champions. The character also appears as a graphic imprint on one side of the rubber band, while her signature weapon, Super Megadeath emblazons the other. The weapon motif is also implemented as a small seconds hand on the dial, and on the round tin that the watch comes enclosed in.
Whereas, the full-metal analog GM-B2100LL-1AJR is presented with a much more rustic look while honoring the visual language of Hextech — a magical technology that’s imperative to the game and its world. The bezel, lugs, and clasp on the bracelet are all coated in a gold-tone ion plating, which is further manipulated to produce a worn effect that’s reminiscent of ancient artifacts. The aforementioned elements also feature engraved motifs such as the League of Legends logo and the Piltover coat of arms emblem.
The GA-110LL-1AJR has a retail price point of ¥26,400 JPY (approximately $178 USD), while the GM-B2100LL-1AJR is priced at¥137,500 JPY (approximately $927 USD). Both references have been announced on G-SHOCK Japan’s official channels, but official launch dates are yet to be confirmed.
