Ghetts and Moonchild Sanelly Reconnect for Latest UK Rap Smash "Laps"
UK grime legend Ghetts is beginning the roll-out of his forthcoming album, On Purpose With Purpose, enlisting his close collaborator, Moonchild Sanelly for the project’s first single, “Laps.”
This is the second time Ghetts and Moonchild Sanelly have worked together on a released track, with their first effort coming in the form of the Conflict of Interest smash, “Mozambique,” in 2021. Now, as Ghetts approaches 20 years in the music game, his latest single “Laps” finds him in some of his best form, showcasing cadence, delivery, and wordplay that goes to show that the MC has aged like a fine wine.
South African artist Moonchild Sanelly provides the hook for the record, with the singer showing off her natural chemistry with Ghetts while breaking up a selection of intricately delivered verses. Additionally, the new single also comes with the confirmation of Ghetts’ latest tour, with the rapper making his way through the UK in March next year.
The tour will start on March 22 at the O2 Institute in Birmingham, before Ghetts makes his way to Manchester on March 24 to play the New Century. From there, Ghetto will then play a two-night run at London’s HERE at Outernet on March 26 and 27.
