Glashütte Original Unveils It’s Latest Limited-Edition Watch

German watchmaker, Glashüette Original, has revealed its latest limited-edition timepiece, the Senator Chronometer Tourbillon Premiere, a watch featuring a range of technical complexities set to be expressed through just 50 examples.

The heart of the watch is its patented Flyback Tourbillon, which objects to the laws of physics with what feels like a gravity-defying dance. When the crown is manipulated, the tourbillon halts, swivels and resumes its position.

As for its technical makeup, the watch features a manual winding Calibre 58-06, encompassing a certified precision that underwent rigorous testing by the Thuringian Weights and Measures Office to meet the DIN 8319 official chronometer standard, according to the maker. Also worth noting, it features a 70-hour power reserve, providing excellent reliability.

Additional design elements of the watch include the laser-engraved movement visible from the front, coupled with a finely crafted dial featuring a recessed day and night indicator. The platinum case encasing the mechanism is polished and satin-brushed, exhibiting a blend of tradition and modernity.

The Senator Chronometer Tourbillon Premiere is set to be available in Glashütte Original Boutiques and selected retailers worldwide starting soon.

Pricing details have yet to be announced at the time of writing, although, more information is expected to be released on the watchmaker’s official site as the release approaches.
