London Fashion Week SS24 Street Style
London Fashion Week kicked off the start Spring/Summer 2024 shows in Europe, serving major declarations, refined signatures and performance art spectacles.
Some of London Fashion Week’s most notable moments included the return of Mowalola to the British capital which saw Ye not only sit front row with his wife, but to also debut a new track. Mowalola was not the only one to bring the star power. Of course, Daniel Lee‘s second major runway for Burberry brought the likes of Burna Boy, Kano and Skepta. Skepta’s Mains label also returned to his hometown after four years on standby. His show brought Louis Theroux, A$AP Ferg, Matthew Williams, Naomi Campbell, Clint419 and Stormzy sharing the moment front row at the show.
With a broad range of style icons showing up to London for fashion week, the city had a strong start when it came down to street style. With the ever changing weather that saw sunny days and rainy days throughout the week, outfits were versatile and comfortable. On warmer days, relaxed fit jorts saw a return, while the gloomier days saw trench coats in full effect. London streetwear saw non-conformity at the center of personal style. Vibrant colors and stand-out patterns riddled the streets as showgoers were unabashedly showing off their eccentric taste and style combinations. From kilts to short mini skirts worn by both men and women, attendees stayed true to serving their unique flair in poise and suavness. Long gone are the days of Saville Row, with tracksuits, oversized cargo pants and cable knit sweaters taking its place. Showing love to London’s own designers, JW Anderson and Burberry looks were mainstays throughout the week.
