Nike's Air VaporMax EVO NRG Presents a Mash-Up of Past Air Max Day Classics

Air Max Day may still be a couple of months away, but that hasn’t stopped

The alternating design brings nods to some of the most sought-after Air Max sneakers around, for example adding the Air Max Lunar90 SP “Apollo 11” print to the mid-panel, the faux pony hair on the eyestay and front-quarter from famous pairs such as the AM95 pony pack or atmos’ animal rework, the “Duck Camo” from the eponymously-titled AM90, and various other details all around.

On the tongue, we can find a metallic silver panel like that on the AM97 “Silver Bullet,” while OG Air Max 95 branding graces the left pair’s medial rear-quarter. Altogether, the Nike Air VaporMax EVO NRG seen above is a monster mash of all of the greats that went before it, sitting atop the sportswear giant’s now-signature VaporMax 2 air unit that provides comfort and support at various pressure points all along the foot.

Rounding out this special pair is the box, which also combined a number of prints and patterns relating to some of the shoes and styles that you can find on the sneaker itself. Take a closer look at the Nike Air VaporMax EVO NRG in “Black/Clear/Metallic Silver/White” above, and purchase a pair from stockists such as Asphalt Gold on February 18 for €215 EUR (approx. $257 USD).

For more archived designs, Stüssy is bringing back its OG Nike Air Huarache LE “Desert Oak” collaboration.
