Roddy Ricch Shares Enchanted Music Video For 'Late at Night'

Roddy Ricch has dropped a new Mustard-produced single, “Late at Night,” along with an accompanying music video.

In the X-directed visual, the rapper steps out in his hometown of Compton, where he slowly walks through an empty home before entering a deserted amusement park. There, the rapper rides the ferris wheel, and upon reaching the top, Ricch gets sucked into a vortex that leads to an alternate universe.

He enters an upscale, colorfully-lit party, where he suddenly transforms into a werewolf and attempts to attack his love interest Karrueche Tran. She then suddenly wakes up from a poolside nap and realizes she dreamt up the whole debacle. But just before the video ends, Ricch turns and looks into the camera with glowing green eyes, a nod to Michael Jackson‘s iconic “Thriller” video.

The latest single marks Ricch’s first solo track of the year, though he has put out collaborative tracks with several artists. Last month, the rapper joined forces with Birdman and Lil Wayne for “Stunnaman.”  Before that, he featured on 42 Dugg‘s “4 Da Gang” and DJ Khaled‘s “Body In Motion” alongside Bryson Tiller and Lil Baby in April.

Ricch, who’s presumably working on the follow-up to his 2019 debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, is hot on the heels of success — his massively popular track, “The Box”, was named the most streamed song of 2020 in the U.S., receiving 1.32 billion on-demand audio and video streams.

Elsewhere in music, BROCKHAMPTON shared a deluxe version of their recent album ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE with four additional tracks.
