Salomon Fuses Function and Tech With X-ALP for GR10K
From the hiking trail to the streets, Salomon has become a streetwear mainstay for those looking to fuse touches of technical style into their footwear rotation. Whether it be its own mainline offerings or its arsenal of collaborations, the Annecy, France-based brand knows what to do. Now Salomon is expanding its collaborative portfolio with its new X-ALP for GR10K.
The new shoe comes to the surface with a technical and motorsports design that looks to the resistant capabilities of firemen’s uniforms. Although the shoe harbors Salomon’s key focus on functional, stylish and outdoor-oriented footwear, the new collaboration blends the spaces of functional technology in a newly creative way.
Its anti-identitarian spirit is seen through its sleek build that is washed in classic shades of charcoal, light gray and black. But the shoe does receive a pop of color with its deep maroon shoelaces. Furthermore, the shoe features a patented 3D Edging Chassis for lateral stability and flexibility and a collapsible tongue – nodding to the protective fire-retardant racing gear.
Take a look at the new offering in the gallery above. Priced at $225 USD, the Salomon X-ALP for GR10K is set to release globally on Thursday, November 30 online at Salomon and GR10K.
