STAPLE Keeps It Cozy and Chill With Newest Netflix Collaboration
STAPLE is officially dropping a new collaboration, this time with streaming platform Netflix. Giving an all-new definition to Netflix & Chill, the collection is all about the cozy and comfy stay at home vibes.
Tapping into the ever-popular resurgence of the Y2K era, the collection is inspired by STAPLE’s Pigeon Pink colorway. In a teaser video posted to Jeff Staple‘sown Instagram, Jonathan Richetts stars in a short teaser, dressed in some of the items from the collaborative capsule. The collection brings a fun and youthful twist to everyone’s favorite at home activity. STAPLE is personifying the ideal scenario of cozying up on the couch or in bed lounging around watching Netflix. In an exclusive statement to Hypebeast from Jeff himself, he speaks on the collaborative effort, “We are thrilled to partner again with Netflix on a collaboration that will bring our audiences together. We were inspired by the perfect sick day at home and created a capsule that riffed off the Y2K era of Hip Hop and our signature STAPLE pigeon pink. We are looking forward to future projects with Netflix.” Just last year, STAPLE launched a merch collaboration with Netflix’s Entergalactic.
The collection provides a set of loungewear essentials that included a satin jacket in the pigeon pink, featuring the STAPLE and Netflix co-branding, a bathrobe, a soft set of sherpa top and bottom sweatsuit, a fuzzy bucket hat, hoodie, t-shirt and long sleeve shirt. TV-inspired graphics are seen on the shirt and sweaters, a nod to Netflix’s signature motifs. The collection ranges from $20 to $150 USD and are available for purchase starting on September 28 at Netflix and Staple.
